Description

This pack contains Neural Amp Modeler captures based on a digital recreation of what I believe to be a later revision of the two-channel Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier. Rather than capturing a physical amplifier, the original tube circuit was recreated in software and simulated using a standalone amplifier simulator I'm developing. The amplifier is modeled using my own C++ circuit simulation engine, which draws on SPICE-style circuit simulation techniques to reproduce the electrical behavior of the amplifier's components and circuit topology. This engine is also the foundation for a larger project to develop standalone amplifier simulators based on original amplifier schematics. The included amplifier settings are based on reported two-channel Rectifier settings used by James Hetfield in rehearsal spaces. These settings provide a starting point for exploring the amplifier's character in the context of his reported setup, rather than claiming to reproduce his complete live or studio signal chain.
