Modded Ace Tone Base-3

Modded Ace Tone Base-3 Here’s a cool one! This may look like your typical 60s Ace Tone Base-3, but it’s actually been modded to be a black panel Fender Princeton clone. The speaker on the inside has also been swapped out for an Electro-Voice EVM12L. The frame on this speaker makes the amp surprisingly heavy! The “Clean” captures here have just a little bit of bite to them. I then thought it might be interesting to add the Death By Audio Reverberation Machine. This pedal has a great reverb, yes, but I almost like the “altitude control” on this pedal even more. This is similar to gain, and when it’s turned up it brings out a more wide open and distorted sound. This is set to 25 on the pedal. The volume, treble, and bass controls stayed right around ‘noon,’ throughout the entirety of the capturing process. The settings/numbers you see below are relative to a clock face.
