Description

Mooer Green Mile (Tube Screamer-style Overdrive) — 2 Modes, 4 Gain Stages Mooer is a company known for its compact and affordable guitar effects pedals. The Green Mile is an overdrive pedal designed as a budget-friendly take on the legendary Tube Screamer circuit, featuring the classic JRC4558 chip and the characteristic mid-hump tone. It is known for delivering smooth, creamy overdrive that pushes a tube amp into saturation. The pedal features a Warm/Hot toggle switch, offering two distinct voicings. The Warm mode provides a natural, smooth, and creamy tube-like drive with a dynamic response. The Hot mode delivers a more powerful output and a mighty crunch tone. For these captures, the Tone knob was set to neutral/center — no additional coloration from the tone control was applied. Only the Drive (Overdrive) knob was used to capture the gain stages. Captures were made in both modes: Warm Mode: 1. Low 2. High Hot Mode: 3. Low 4. High Each capture is a separate file. All sounds are normalized — levels are matched between captures. The gain stages are carefully matched to provide maximum flexibility and overlap across the entire range. The Warm mode is ideal for bluesy, creamy overdrive, while the Hot mode pushes into more aggressive crunch territory.
