Peavey 6505+ EL34 – Full Amp Capture Epochs Aim: 400 A2 Standard | Reamp Box: Countryman 85 The legendary Peavey 6505+ EL34, captured in its entirety to deliver the aggressive, mix-cutting tone that has become a staple of modern rock and metal recordings worldwide. The EL34-equipped version of the 6505+ adds a slightly richer midrange character and enhanced harmonic complexity compared to its 6L6 counterpart, while retaining the tight low end, aggressive attack, and unmistakable high-gain saturation that made the 6505 series famous. From articulate crunch tones to crushing modern metal rhythms and soaring lead sounds, this capture preserves the full versatility of the amplifier. This package includes both the Green (Rhythm) and Red (Lead) channels, with gain settings captured from 1 through 10, providing a complete range of tones from edge-of-breakup cleans and classic crunch through to full-bore high-gain saturation. I have also included 2 fully processed captures through my personal live setup with preamp colouring and desk saturation. All captures were created with the amplifier's EQ controls set to the midpoint across Bass, Mid, and Treble, allowing users to shape the final tone to suit their own guitars, cabinets, IRs, and mixes. Compared to many modern high-gain amplifiers, the 6505+ EL34 delivers a more raw and aggressive voice, with pronounced upper mids, exceptional pick attack, and the ability to cut through dense mixes without sacrificing power or clarity. No cabinet IR is included, giving you complete freedom to pair the captures with your preferred cabinet simulations, IRs, or speaker solutions.
