Description

Here is an attempt at the solo tones of the "Another Brick in the Wall (Pt2) outro solo. The studio version was famously played with a P90 Les Paul directly into the console and then later reamped, eq'ed and compressed. That is hard to replicate. The live versions were played with an EMG Strat through two compressors and a light overdrive. into a Hiwatt Amp. That is what I am going for here. The chain is: Boss CS-2 -> MXR Dynacomp -> Tube Driver (light) -> HiTone DG50 -> Custom Gilmour IR -> EQ. Hence please note: - compressor is baked in - Studio version is EQ'ed for a P90 neck pickup (fully open) - PULSE and DSOT versions are EQ'ed for a EMG strat neck pickup (fully open) - but with the SPC control already baked in. If you have one, then leave the SPC OFF. - Because with the SPC=0 an EMG and a normal Strat neck pickup are not a million miles apart, it should sound ok with a normal strat. These are DRY tones. You need to add Delay (a 2290 ducking delay was used on the live recordings), chorus and reverb to taste. Happy Gilmouring!
