Tech 21 PL1 Flyrig

Back in 2018, Tech 21 alongside one of Rammstein's axe men, Paul Landers teamed up and released the PL1 Flyrig. It's an all in one unit that Paul Landers himself uses in the studio for his massive, visceral tone that's both musical yet full of industrial brutality and fury. I've captured both of Paul's main settings for his High Gain and Clean tones. Whilst this unit also has delay, vibrato and "ambiance" effects, I did not want to capture those in case you wanted to use your own. These captures are purely the PL1 Flyrig, no other pedals or effects were plugged into the device. Enjoy! Feuer - Paul Landers main setting for his High Gain tone. Instant Du Hast! This is the tone setting that Paul himself used in the studio for the critically acclaimed "Untitled" and "Zeit" albums. This is the epitome of THAT Rammstein sound. Obviously, you have Richard Kruspe who has what I call the "Metal 101" setup. ESP Guitars loaded with EMG81 pickups, well, these days, he uses his signature Fishman pickups into a Dual/Triple Rectifier into a Mesa 4x12 loaded with Celestion V30 speakers then dual miced. You know the tone. and Paul goes straight into the mixer with his signature Flyrig producing the visceral, razor-sharp, ultra-heavy industrial yet musical tone you'll get here. Wasser - Paul Landers main setting for his Clean tone. Paul is a self-proclaimed "no amp guy" but with one exception. The clean or "Wasser" channel is based of the Roland Jazz Chrous 120 amp. The only amp that Paul likes. It's known for its pristine cleans that became a staple in all genres of music. This setting really brings out that characteristic beautifully. Add some delay and a touch of reverb and you'll have a beautiful clean tone.
