Description

Explore a curated selection of vintage mixers and tape machines spanning Japan and Italy, from the late 1970s to the 1990s. This pack captures the charm and character of analog workflows, featuring devices with rich preamps, creative routing, and classic sonic fingerprints. Each unit reflects its era and country of origin, from compact Japanese engineering to Italian analog design, with differences in EQ, effects, and overdrive behavior that give each machine a unique personality. Devices: Victor JVC MI 5000 (Japan, 1979) – Six-channel analog mixer with mic, phono, and line inputs, integrated spring reverb, and built-in amplifier. Captured using a tube preamp with NOS Brimar 12AU7 ECC82 WA, the NAM file highlights harmonic richness, preamp overdrive, and dark, analog warmth. SISME ME 81 (Italy, late 1970s / early 1980s) – Rare eight-channel mono mixer with rotary controls for Echo, Monitor, Treble, Bass, and Pre-gain, plus multi-band graphic EQ and analog echo/delay. Tube preamp capture emphasizes smooth mids, rounded lows, and vintage Italian character. Yamaha MT50 (Japan, 1994) – Four-track cassette recorder with dbx noise reduction, individual MIC/LINE preamps, EQ, pan controls, and aux send. Captures through a tube preamp deliver punchy, bass-heavy tones and fuzzy overdriven textures, perfect for multitracking. Each device in this pack has its own dedicated page for the curious music player and collector, offering deeper insights and detailed capture notes.
