Analog Hardware chain setup for a rock solid VO using: CAPI VP28 Red Dot Preamp with the input cranked to 3:00 Audioscape Pultec set to +5 -2.5 at 20, +5 at 4, -2.5 at 20, and a Bandwidth at 2 Drawmer 1978 doing -20db of gain reduction with an 8:1 w/ curve mod. Relatively fast attack and release. A little saturation and a little eq low and mid bump. Full wet with makeup gain. This heavily saturated chain with lots of transformer, op-amp, and tube love crushes dynamics and adds plenty of harmonics; resulting in that big beautiful wide crest factor and a huge hairy analog sound.
