Description

Marshall 1987x with Jose mods and 6550 power tubes. Heavily based on fusedbrain's schematic diagram: https://www.rig-talk.com/forum/threads/schematic-for-jose-build.201708/page-2#post-2246543 Took me too long to get to the mother of all modded Marshalls. The old schematic files for this one did not really do the diode clipping thing properly, so I redrew them again and ditched the DPDT switches for separate .schx in order for the diode clipping effect to actually work. Talk about loads of gain for days... wow. I completely understand now why it's touted as the holy grail of high gain Marshall circuits. ・Original circuit had two gain pots and bright switches. The ones from the 2nd tube stage were omitted for a JCM800-style preamp instead. ・Five diode clipping styles. Probably not a whole lot of difference between them, but I captured all of them nonetheless: 　。1N4733 Zeners 　。1SS133 Silicons 　。Red/Green/Blue LEDs ・"Punch" and "Hair" switches for the power amp section. Basically emphasizes low and high frequencies, respectively. ・Preamp and poweramp sections are also provided separately. [LEGEND] ・FULL - Preamp + poweramp ・PRE - Preamp section ・PWR - Poweramp section ・BR - Bright ・ZEN - 1N4733 Zener diodes ・SIL - 1SS133 Silicon diodes ・LED-R/G/B - Red/Green/Blue LED diodes ・PNCH - "Punch" (Depth) ・HAIR - "Hair" (Presence) [NOTES] ・All the models are captured with 8x oversampling and 64 iterations for the highest quality possible. ・All the controls are flat so you can hear the amp as it is with neutral settings. this is likely going to be the last batch of NAM captures from me for a while. i honestly didn't expect that i'd exhaust almost all of the schematic files from my GitHub repo, i didn't even realize that two months have passed since i started capturing them for my own use. i'm content with this collection and will resume on actually practicing guitar now lmao

You're a genius santa claus for guitarists! So many great captures, amps, tones...I'm very grateful! Also - totally agree with actually practicing and writing with guitar. You and some of the other brilliant and generous uploaders have given us so much I definitely have option paralysis at this point. I'm using a phenomenal plugin called Rigsuite which embeds a bunch of analytics, input/ouput options as well as drives, reverbs, delays....tweakers paradise. But now I just keep messing with new tones and amps instead of writing and recording haha.
