Yngwie's iconic 250 preamp type overdrive by MXR. More Is More - Ynwgie's always on setting with level and gain set to MAX. Less Is Less - A setting that balances the tone of the gain knob with the level knob to still get that Yngwie overdrive tone, but with much less hum and feedback. 250 Boost - Set up like a classic boost overdrive. Level at 10 and gain set at about 1. Captured using an Arturia AudioFuse 8Pre Interface and a Radial HP Studio Reamper box. Pedal is powered with a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power X4 Extender. Send Level For all: +6.44dBu Return Level: More is More: +10.34 Less is Less: +9.14 250 Boost: +7.74 ***How To Utilize Calibrated Captures*** You will need to know the maximum instrument input level on your interface. This can normally be found in interfaces user manual (the Scarlett solo for example, has a maximum instrument input level of +12dBu). On the NAM Gateway plugin, go to the settings cogwheel and toggle on “Calibrate Input.” In the box above, type your interfaces maximum instrument input level (ex. +12dBu for Scarlett Solo). Now just plug your guitar into your instrument input on your interface, making sure you’ve selected instrument level and not line level if there’s a selectable button. Lastly, set your input level gain knob to 0, and you’re all set for utilizing this hyper accurate calibrated capture. *Note* you may still need to adjust the input level on the NAM plugin if it's sounding overly compressed or like a blown out speaker.
