Description

I made IRs of my Celestion Creamback G12M65 in 0.25inch (~0.6cm) intervals from the center of the cap. A decent starting point would be: G12M65 4x12 SM57 2.00in 0.0in.wav G12M65 4x12 M201 1.00in 0.0in.wav G12M65 4x12 MD421 1.50in 0.0in.wav The 2.00" (~5cm) to 2.50" (~6.4cm) area is where like Greenback-type tones with a Shure SM57. The high end response drops off a bit too much for me beyond the 2.50" range. 24Bit 48kHz - 500ms - MPT Format Impulse Responses - Celestion G12M65 in a Line 6 Spider Valve 4x12 Cabinet Naming Convention G12M65 4x12 <Mic> <Distance from Center> <Distance Off Grill> <Off Axis Angle, if applicable> Equipment Used: -Shure SM57 -Beyerdynamic M201 (added 6/16/25) -Sennheiser MD421 II (added 6/16/25) -Behringer A800 Power Amp -Chameleon Labs 7603 Microphone Preamp -Steinberg UR824 Audio Interface -Voxengo Deconvolver 10sec sine sweeps were used to excite speaker
