Warm Music GT208 (Ragna-Rock 208) – Preamp Capture Collection (Clean & Distortion)

A collection of preamp captures of the Warm Music GT208 (Ragna-Rock 208), a Brazilian 60 W 2x8 hybrid combo. It covers the clean and distortion channels at different gain settings, all with the EQ flat at 5. Preamp-only captures: recorded straight from the preamp output, before the power amp and speaker. No cabinet is included, so pair them with a cab IR of your choice. About the amp: the GT208 has a hybrid preamp: a solid-state front end with a diode-clipping distortion channel and a tone stack, followed by a single tube stage at the output. The tone stack sits after the clipping, so fine EQ changes can mostly be made after the model with a regular EQ. The gain controls are what really change the texture: Saturation: how hard the signal hits the clipping diodes (distortion channel) More Dist: extra gain on the distortion channel Gain switch: extra gain on the input stage Volume (clean) / Level (distortion): the level sent to the tube stage. Higher settings push the tube harder. Capture names show the settings used: Channel (Clean / Dist) | Sat = Saturation | V = Volume (Clean) or Level (Dist) | MD = More Dist on | G = Gain switch on | B / M / T / P = Bass / Middle / Treble / Presence Example: Dist Sat5 V4 MD B5 M5 T5 P5 Reverb is off in all captures. Tested with a Seymour Duncan JB (TB-4) bridge humbucker, a high-output pickup. With lower-output pickups, expect a slightly cleaner response.
