ZVex Mastotron Fuzz

The ZVex Mastotron is a Vexter series offshoot of the Woolly Mammoth bass fuzz pedal, with some extra controls. The pedal also works well for guitar. I kept the Tone and Relax/Push knobs constant, with minor changes in Volume and Fuzz. Subs on the 3 setting is the stock Woolly Mammoth sound. The PW control goes from square to narrow pulse width as the control is increased, resulting in increasingly velcro and glitchy sounding fuzz. PW at 10 may be a bit too gated for normal applications, but could be useful for mangling sounds. Settings are in the following order: (V)ol - (T)one - (PW) - (F)uzz - (R)elax/(P)ush RME UCX II Line Out - United Studio Technologies Replay Box at 11.5dBu ZVex Mastotron - RME UCX II In at 11.7dBu I recommend setting the Gateway Output mode to Raw or Calibrated if you use the auto input calibration feature. I generally use the calibrated modes in the TONE3000 and NAM Universal II plugins.
